If you like wine, visit one of the wine festivals in Czechia this September! The days might be getting shorter, but the sun is still strong high in the sky, creating the perfect peaceful ambience in the company of wine and a beautiful countryside full of vineyards. Wine festivals offer historical processions, music performances and concerts, demonstrations of traditional crafts, markets with local specialties and period products, young wine and regular wine tasting, and last, but not least, dulcimer music in Moravia. Add the scenery of old chateaus or historical town centres and you’ll have a lot to remember!
This year you can finally visit a wine festival after two years! For example, the Znojmo Historical Grape Harvest is opening the gates of the medieval centre of South Moravian Znojmo, including music and theatre stages after two years; the Pálava Grape Harvest in Mikulov has prepared a wine competition for the Mikulov wine subregion in addition to the music festival part; and the wine festival at the Kačina Chateau in Central Bohemia offers some arts and crafts so you can bring a small, handmade straw souvenir back home with you! The festivals full of wine, ease and joy of the new grave harvest are simply here and you can enjoy them literally by the mouthful. Just choose one…
