An active holiday in Františkovy Lázně
Františkovy Lázně is one of the first peat spas in the world, and is equally famous for its healing springs. This beautiful and quiet spa town also offers plenty of opportunities for an active break. Take a stroll along the Heart Trails, which are good as a walking cure and also enable you to take in the spa sights as well as the surrounding countryside. There are lots of opportunities to enjoy some sport in and around the spa.

Wellness tips

At the Savoy and Goethe Spa Hotels you can try the Spa on Trial package that lets you choose any 2 treatments every day from the wide range on offer.  You can enjoy a spa stay with treatments enhanced with molecular hydrogen at the Spa Sanatorium Dr. Peták.  The Relax for Seniors package at the Wellness Hotel Bohemia includes 3 night’ half-board accommodation, a welcome drink, a partial massage, a peat pack, a paraffin pack and admission to the salt cave.

If you’re looking for a place where the kids can have fun while the adults relax, we recommend the Summer Holidays in the Aquaforum Aqua Park package, 7 nights at the Pawlik-Aquaforum Spa Resort with “all you can eat” half board. You can also treat yourself to a Wellness Beauty stay at the Spa Hotel DIANA. The perfect place for a Ladies’ Wellness Stay is the Spa Hotel Pyramida.
  • You can try treatments enhanced with molecular hydrogen without having consulted your doctor.
  • You can also order a wide range of hydrotherapy treatments and massages, beauty therapy and special therapy sessions, including general and ear acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, a salt cave, a Finnish and herbal sauna, or a beer spa.
  • The Spa Clinic on the first floor of the Aquaforum offers a range of treatments to buy.
  • Those treatments are available in almost all the spa hotels, including on Saturdays until 2-3 p.m.Some wellness hotels, such as the Wellness Hotel Ida and the Wellness Hotel Bohemia, also offer treatments on Sundays.
  • In addition, you can now purchase spa treatments for children: including inhalation, the salt cave sessions and massages.

Get yourself moving with some sport

At the Františkovy lázně Tourist Information Centre and Pension Three you can hire mountain and city bikes, e-bikes and scooters. In the spa itself you can enjoy a swim in the Aquaforum Aqua Park, where the water is nice and warm, at least 30°C, and with plenty of other attractions. Or, you could visit the Dřenice outdoor swimming pool at the Jesenice Reservoir or the Michal natural pool near Sokolov. The nearby Cheb FUN Arena gives you the chance to take a ride on go-karts and try lots of other attractions.

Where’s a good place to eat?

There are lots of restaurants at the spa that offer Czech, Mediterranean and international cuisine. You could try the cosy Rybářská bašta, restaurant at the Wellness Hotel Ida or the Bagel Lounge for a more modern setting.
