Boating on the Dyje near Janův hrad: sightseeing with engaging commentary
A different view of the beauty of the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape can be admired from a boat on the Dyje River. All year round and with engaging commentary by the boatmen, you can gaze at the Lednice Chateau, the Minaret and the romantic artificial castle ruins of Janův hrad. It was built by the court architect of the House of Liechtenstein, Josef Hardtmuth, who studied medieval castle ruins in order to perfectly imitate them. This hunting lodge is worth a thorough exploration, so take advantage of the option to combine a boat ride with a walk or ride in a horse-drawn carriage. A unique experience is a boat ride in winter, during which you can keep warm with mulled wine.
