Museum of Slate Budišov nad Budišovkou

A new exhibition on the history and present of slate mining can be found in Budišov nad Budišovkou. The exposition of the museum documents historical tools, samples and products and is supplemented by the geological development of the Earth, rich photo documentation from the past and present.

In the new exhibition you will find interesting facts about the history of the town, various products made of slate, which was not only used as a roofing material, but also to produce calamari or gramophone records. Also interesting are the unique wooden mining carts. There is also a slate trail around Budišov.
