The television tower on Praděd Mountain

Would you like to see the highest peak in Czechia? Then visit Praděd (Old Father), the highest peak of the Old Father Mountains (Hrubý Jeseník). To the natural height of 1,492 meters, add another 146.5 meters of the TV tower. Its top is thus the highest point in the Czech Republic.

On the television tower you can visit the highest, year-round restaurant in Czechia, a viewing platform or stay in the hotel. From the observation tower at a height of 80 m (a total of 1 563 m.a.s.l.) you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the entire Jeseníky Mountains, in good weather a wonderful view of the Lysá hora (Bald Mountain), the highest elevation of the Beskydy Mountains and the neighboring mountain Radhošť as well as to the Sněžka Mountain in the Giant Mountains. In very good visibility, you can even see the silhouette of the High Tatras, the Small and Large Fatra Mountains and the Austrian Alps.

From Praděd best marked hiking and biking trails lead in all directions, and in winter you can take advantage of the famous Ski Center Praděd of the same name.
