Are you interested to learn what life in the Czech countryside was like in the Middle Ages or during the Baroque period?
Visit the Museum of Technology and Crafts in Koloveč in the Plzeň district to the west of Prague, where one of the largest exhibitions in the Czech Republic comprising an exhibition area of 1,000 m² awaits. All traditional rural trades are represented there. In the 67 workshops you can admire a diverse mix of crafts: from basket-makers through stonemasons up to saddlers. Both young and grown-up museum visitors will be interested to see a display of precision clockmaker’s work, or an exposition of prams and toys for all generations. An exhibition of ceramics, which have been made in Koloveč since the 18th century, opened there in 2016.
