Leopoldov Spa near Buchlovice
About 2 km from Buchlovice is the ancient, sulphurous spa and recreational resort Leopoldov Smraďavka. The local sulphurous springs have been known for their beneficial effects for many centuries.
The spa was founded in 1805 by the famous philanthropist Leopold Berchtold, who stayed at the chateau in Buchlovice and in the Chřibů valley in Smraďavka in the Hunting Lodge, where he also died.

The baths took place in the adjacent building of the Hunting Lodge under medical supervision. After some time the baths disappeared and the bath buildings were used for recreational and relaxation purposes. The baths and sulphur water baths were restored in 2012 on the basis of history.

Accommodation is offered in the Hunting Lodge, Honeymoon Suite, Cottage and single to triple rooms. A tennis court is available for guests. Spa treatments are provided. Massages, cosmetics, wraps, baths, sauna, salt cave are offered.

Now these spas are a popular place for physical and mental relaxation.
