The Kingdom Come Live project takes you to locations inspired by the game, including Kutná Hora, Rataje nad Sázavou, Suchdol, and Malešov.

Experience the Medieval Atmosphere First-Hand

If you want to immerse yourself in a medieval atmosphere, step into the world of Kingdom Come, and explore the beauty of Czech medieval history in the very places that inspired the game's creators, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. The Kingdom Come Live project is supported by the towns of Kutná Hora—UNESCO’s pearl—Rataje nad Sázavou, Suchdol, and Malešov. Here, as allies of the game's main character, Henry of Skalitz, you will embark on an adventurous journey filled with challenges and surprises.

The first instalment of Kingdom Come: Deliverance (KCD) by Czech studio Warhorse Studios was already an enormous success. The castle in Rataje, one of the game’s key locations, is open to the public and features several exhibitions, including one dedicated to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It displays how the game portrays Rataje and its historical surroundings. After visiting the castle, don’t forget to make a detour to the Rataje Viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the Sázava River meander (which can also be explored via a scenic train ride from Prague). Another major historical site in the area is Pirkštejn Castle.

For gaming enthusiasts, the project offers a wide range of activities—from a costumed tour of Kutná Hora and freely accessible hiking trails to a three-day medieval holiday. A newly created route between Kutná Hora and Malešov, home to a brewery, features a series of tasks and puzzles. Kutná Hora itself offers the most activities, including a walk along 30 different stops.

What Can You Experience with Kingdom Come Live?

Malešov Fortress: This experience in Malešov includes a noble feast, an overnight stay in replicas of medieval tents, and an epic escape game. Participants will immerse themselves in medieval life, tackling puzzles and challenges in an adventurous setting.
· The Mintmaster’s Secret: A unique costumed tour of Kutná Hora (Kuttenberg in KCD) that connects the city’s history with the game’s inspirations. Visitors will explore significant landmarks such as the Italian Court and St. Barbara’s Cathedral while sampling dishes inspired by medieval cuisine.
· Touch the Past: A journey that blurs the line between the video game and reality. Participants will visit real-world locations featured in the game and experience the medieval atmosphere first-hand.
· Medieval Quest “Save Henry”: Players embark on a thrilling journey from Kutná Hora to Malešov, solving puzzles, completing tasks, and deciphering a secret code to help Henry rescue his friend.
· Kingdom Come: Experience: A fusion of an escape game, interactive theatre, and live-action RPG. Participants will solve riddles, take on challenges, and immerse themselves in a mysterious, twist-filled story set in the medieval stronghold of Malešov, populated by costumed historical characters.
· Suchdol: An educational trail guiding visitors through the village of Suchdol, offering a direct comparison between real-world locations and their in-game counterparts.
