The Svatý Petr complex is the centre of sporting life in Špindlerův Mlýn, and hosts a large number of events every year, from classic races to social events where the times and speeds achieved are of lesser importance.
If your main interest is skiing, Svatý Petr offers high-quality pistes of all difficulty levels, from beginners to proficient and advanced, with closely monitored and maintained levels of snow. A children’s ski park, situated right next to the lower terminus of the four-seater ski lift to Pláň peak, is provided for the very smallest skiers. Apart from the usual fairytale slalom courses and other attractions, the areal also has a track for the popular snowtubing, downhill rides in inflatable tubes.

Svatý Petr place at the centre of the action is confirmed by its regular ski bus connection to theMedvědín complexand other locations around Špindlerův Mlýn. Přední Planina peak (1,198 m), known colloquially as Pláň, is the ideal starting-point for cross-country ski or snowshoe tours along the mountain ridges. Another major attraction is the snow park in the lower part of the black piste, including a ski cross track, Big Air jump with two sizes of jump and a u-ramp. This part of the complex, too, regularly hosts domestic and international competitions in freestyle disciplines, with participants from all over the world. The range of winter activities also includes special alpine skiing routes.
Around the Svatý Petr area by bike and on foot
When travelling around the area in the summer, tourists can use the Krkonoše ‘cyklobusy’ (buses specially designed for cyclists). Places that are the domain of downhill and cross-country skiers and sledgers in the winter are open for mountain scooters, quad bikes and mountain bikes in the summer. There’s also an water park and wellness centre, canopy walkway, climbing wall, bobsled run and many other leisure activities.
Svatý Petr is, at the same time, an excellent starting-point for the demanding mountain trails along the sides of the Kozí hřbety (Goat Ridges), with their imposing hillside views. As in the winter for cross-country enthusiasts, in the summer the Pláň peak is an ideal starting-point for tours. The ski lift will also accommodate cyclists; choose your route downhill according to difficulty level. Mountain bike rental is, of course, also available.
