Summer at Harrachov in Krkonoše Mountains
Nestled in the highest Czech mountain range Krkonoše, Harrachov - a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and adrenaline lovers - is one of the most popular mountain resorts and one of the oldest mountain towns in Czechia.

Hiking and cycling trails, cycle paths, Nordic walking

Harrachov and its surroundings boast one of the vastest networks of marked cycling and hiking routes in Czechia, connected to the Jizera Mountains and Poland. The Czech Trail and the paths of the Krkonošská Magistrála Trails also lead here. You can even hop on a cycle bus from Harrachov to explore the entire Krkonoše Mountains. It operates from the end of May until the end of September/beginning of October.

2 chairlifts for hikers, cyclists and families with strollers

You can use two chairlifts in Harrachov - one running from the center and the other one from Rýžoviště in Harrachov. The chairlift from the center of Harrachov operates daily between 9 am and 5 pm and passes close to the one of only five mammoth ski jumps in the world. Both chairlifts will take you - with your bike or stroller - to the top of Čertova hora (Devil's Mountain).

Čertova hora is a great starting point for short walks around the area (maps are available at the top of the mountain) as well as for day hikes or bike tours. At the top of Čertova hora, you will find, among other things, the highest inflatable maze in Czechia and a number of menhirs.

Children's Amusement Park

With the purchase of a chairlift ticket, you will also automatically get entry to the Children's Amusement Park located at the lower cable car station. In the park, kids can have fun on giant air trampolines, in a bouncy or wooden castle. The whole family will have fun on a slack-line.

Seeking adventure? Harrachov has you covered

Experience the thrill at the Proud rope center, conquer the Vertical park, speed down the bobsleigh track with the Monkey park where you can slide down a 117-meter rope slide over a mountain lake, or ride buggies, off-road tricycles, four wheeleres or scooters. Enjoy loads of fun in the swimming pool with mini-golf. The highest golf course in Czechia awaits golf enthusiasts, while many relaxation and wellness centers provide a tranquil retreat.

During winter, Harrachov transforms into a winter sports paradise.

What to visit

Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Harrachov Novosad & Son glassworks and brewery, take a ride on the only cog railway in Czechia, and definitely take a walk to the Mumlava Waterfall.
