The region’s undulating landscape is, quite simply, ideal for golf. Bring a bit of variety into your trip by visiting two courses, one located at Mnich u Nové Bystřice, the other in Hluboká nad Vltavou.
Rounds for both professionals and beginners
The Golf complex in Mnich is divided into two sections. The first is the Mnich 18-hole championship standard course, one of the most popular and the oldest in the country. Every year you can witness prestigious national and international tournaments for professional players. If you are a novice golfer, try the other part of the complex, the nine-hole course at Nová Bystřice. Both sections are nicely set in the wonderful landscapes of the Czech Canada area, one of the most attractive parts of the Czech Republic thanks to its thick forests, numerous lakes and huge granite boulders scattered around the land. Come and enjoy some great golf amid unspoilt countryside!
Golf and history
One 18-hole course, one nine-hole course, a large driving range and a long aristocratic tradition – this is what you’ll find at the golf course in Hluboká nad Vltavou. The refined landscape into which the courses have been inserted has undergone gradual alteration over several centuries thanks to the nearby presence of neo-Gothic Hluboká Chateau, one of the most beautiful chateaux in the Czech Republic. The entire area is the ideal spot for a few rounds as well as pleasant strolls and a bit of time out in the shadow of the immense residence of the Schwarzenberg princes.
Take the kids
If you’re on holiday in the area with your children, why not bring them along to the Hluboká golf club? They can take part in a special golf skills course focusing on younger players with an interest in the sport of gentlemen.
