The convent garden in the Hradisko Monastery

The convent garden emerged on the site of the two former monastery gardens which the monks used as a resting place and a herb garden. Cropped hedges around the Fountain of the Four Evangelists symbolically stand for these four evangelists, to whom the four towers of the main monastery building are devoted as well. In line with the magic of the number four, a person standing at the fountain will have four distinct views through the openings – the first is a view of the summer dining hall, in the second aperture there is the hospital, the third one shows a former morgue (now with an exposition from the history of the hospital) and in the last one there is a new water structure that depicts the patron of the garden, St. Victor. The garden is included in the tour of the Hradisko Monastery.
