Galerie Miro was founded in 1987 in Berlin. It was moved from Berlin to the Church of St. Roch in the complex of Strahov Monastery in Prague in 1994.

It above all has the famous Czech singer Karel Gott to thank for its unique location. The gallery offers 170 square metres of exhibition space and its aim is to present international modern art. Several exhibitions have already been held here by masters of global and Czech painting. Some of the most famous are Picasso, Miró, Dalí, Chagall, Rodin, Warhol and others. Galerie Miro also holds the awards ceremony for the European Trebbia Award for support of culture and creative activity.
