There are three attractive models in the exhibition on the history of Hradec Králové - a model of the town before 1420, a model of Hradec Králové as a military fortress in 1865 and the third model shows the town at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Part of the East Bohemian Museum is dedicated to the Battle of Chlum in 1866, which commemorates the Prussian-Austrian battle that took place in the vicinity of Hradec Králové on July 3, 1866.
Valuable town relics still kept in the town hall - the so-called Eliška belt and gothic spoons, ciborium, instruments from the Hradec Králové torture chamber and a collection of rare musical manuscripts of former literati curios from Hradec Králové became part of the museum.
