A tour of the impressive Baroque monastery in Broumov offers numerous surprises. One of the highlights is a tour of the cellar with several dozen mummies from the crypt of the Church of St. Prokop in Vamberk. The most famous of the mummies belongs to Magdalena Grambová, who brought the tradition of making bobbin lace to East Bohemia from her native Belgium. Also resting here is Bohuslav of Chrast, who, even though he has his own tombstone in the church in Vamberk, never lied below it and according to legend, was one of the infamous fexts.
