The start of a new spa season has become unusually popular among the locals for its creativity and ability to attract visitors. The most interesting points of the program include the historic parade led by the founder of the city, King Charles IV, and the consecration of Karlovy Vary spa springs. An accompanying program can be found along T.G. Masaryk Avenue, on the area in front of the main post office and the Hotel Thermal, the Mlýn Colonnade, in Little Versailles Park or at the Grandhotel Pupp. The festivities include a crafts fair, concerts and performances by celebrities. A colorful event is the Saturday evening gala at the Grandhotel Pupp, which concludes with fireworks.
