Where You Feel the Touch of History
Prague is not only the
Charles Bridge,
Prague Castle or the
Old Town Square with the astronomical clock. It holds other treasures waiting to be discovered! For example,
St. Nicholas Church in Lesser Town with an organ that Mozart used to play. The nearby
Prague Jewish Town is one of the best preserved Jewish landmarks in Europe. You can see the oldest synagogue there, still used to this day. Feel the touch of history in the recently reconstructed
National Museum. And when you get tired of all the city’s hustle and bustle, have a rest in the Baroque
Vrtba gardens. They are allegedly the most beautiful gardens north of the Alps and they offer a beautiful view of Prague.
What To See to Experience Something Extra
You can have a wonderful time even in such a frequently visited city as Prague is. Climb to the
scenic vista with a vineyard by the
Strahov Monastery – supposedly the most beautiful vista in Prague. You can enjoy some peace and quiet, take a few beautiful photos and refresh yourself with some craft beer from the monastery brewery. Wander through the nearby
alleyways of the New World, a district with tiny homes and a romantic ambience. Or visit
Klementinum in the centre of the Old Town where the National Library resides. The historical hall of the library, included in the tour, is one of
the most spectacular library halls in Europe! Cool down on a hot summer day in the
Stromovka Park, one of the largest parks in Prague, whether near the ponds or in the recently opened Šlechtovka Restaurant. If you are an art lover, you must visit one of the modern art galleries: either
DOX in Holešovice or the new
Kunsthalle gallery in
Lesser Town.
The Length and Breadth of Czechia with UNESCO
A total of
16 historical landmarks have been inscribed in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List in the past thirty years. The list includes the
historical gardens in Kroměříž, a
village with folk houses, as well as the
stunning cathedral in Kutná Hora. It is only up to you to choose what experience you want to remember!
