The open-air museum in the village at the foot of the Hostýn Highlands near Kroměříž or Zlín offers a view of the rural life in the Haná Region during the 18th and 19th centuries. Several farmsteads are completed with a blacksmith’s house, a saddler’s workshop, a windmill, and a fort where you can see an exposition dedicated to windmills in Moravia and Silesia. The houses reconstructed in 1970s present the way of living and housekeeping in this part of Moravia in the past two centuries. Visitors can see the interiors of the homes furnished with traditional inventory of kitchens, sitting rooms and utility rooms.
