At the Hrubý Rohozec Chateau, located on the outskirts of Turnov, you can view more than twenty richly decorated rooms belonging to the counts of Des Fours Walderode, who came to Bohemia from the French region of Lorraine. Two tour circuits lead through the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, libraries, formal dining rooms and residential suites. Explore the medieval cellars and also the chateau courtyard. The chateau is surrounded by an English park with some rare trees and statues of saints from the 18th and 19th centuries, and you can see an artificial cave atop a rocky cliff. It is also worthwhile go into nearby Turnov, where you can see the second largest diorama in the country.
