This widespread ruin of the medieval castle lies in Eastern Bohemia and dominates the central part of Podorlicko. The history of one of the largest Czech castles ruins dates all the way back to the end of the 13th century. It was here that the fortified settlement stood during medieval times. The majestic castle was only conquered once over its many centuries, by the future Czech King and Roman Emperor, Charles IV. The castle is also known for its famous tales of tremendous treasure.
