Our restaurant was established by order of of the Royal Knights of the Cooking Pan and I am one of it´s founding members", declares the chef proudly. What this means is clear only to those who have sampled the cuisine. The exposed brick walls, ornate wrought iron chandeliers, red furnishings and black high chairs create an enigmatic, gothic, castle atmosphere.
It takes a while for your eyes to adjust to the candle-lit lighting. Then the shadowy corners of the room seem to come alive as flamboyantly dressed figures slowly emerge from the life-size frescos on the walls. The medieval scenes of feasting and carefree merriment are enough to raise the appetite of any guest. And with these expectations one turns to the menu with its rich, traditional flavours and ample portions.
