One of the most intriguing places in the Renaissance castle in Litomyšl is the extensive cellars, which were opened to the public only in the 1990s. Here you will see an exhibition of sculptures by the famous sculptor Olbram Zoubek, who along with other artists was employed during the communist period to restore the sgraffito decorations on the castle. After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, Zoubek donated a collection of his works from different periods to the castle, creating a unique artistic experience for visitors. A tour of the cellar gallery can be combined with a tasting of wines from Moravian vineyards.
