The International Documentary Film Festival in Ji.hlava pays tribute to courage and risk. Documentary films strike viewers as works of art, which encourage thinking about the world from different perspectives. The basis of the festival program are four competitions: Opus bonum for worldwide documentaries revealing for their themes and film language; Czech Joy for the latest domestic production; Between the Seas for striking scenes from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe; and the fourth section is Fascination, which is intended for experimental documentaries. In addition to screenings, you can look forward to exhibitions, discussions with filmmakers, writers, and film theorists and historians, meetings with industry professionals, and more.
