A remarkable tradition was born in May 2008 when Vivaldi’s rediscovered opera Argippo premiered at Prague Castle. The other performances that took place that year, fully staged in spectacular form at the Baroque Castle Theatre in Český Krumlov, were combined with several concerts to form the new Festival of Baroque Art. Since then, a team of researchers has been preparing modern world premieres of Baroque opera every year. While Prague sees a semi-staged version of the premiere in May, you can see the full version during the festival in Český Krumlov.
