The annual Benešov fair event takes place May 1 at Masaryk Square, Small Square and on the adjacent streets. The all day fair near Konopiště gives demonstrations of traditional crafts as well as a rich accompanying program. A period craft marketplace is held on Small Square, while Masaryk Square is filled with food stalls and two podiums on which cultural performances alternate. Under the gate, a funfair and stalls with a variety of goods beckon to visitors.
