Several artists took a liking to Český Krumlov; these included the eminent Austrian artist Egon Schiele (1890–1918). You can visit the Egon Schiele Art Centrum, an exhibition which is open all year round and which documents his life and work. Another popular destination is Museum Fotoateliér Seidel – a unique location where a tradition of photography emerged in the 19^th century. The house with the photographic studio itself is an architectural gem and a place where time has stood still. Another popular excursion is a tour of the Eggenberg Brewery, which has operated in the city since 1560 and where you will gain an insight into the secret of brewing the amber nectar.
