At its heart lies the historic city of Liberec, home to the famous Neo-Renaissance town hall. It’s an iconic and unmissable building well worth visiting. You can spend the night there or enjoy a culinary treat. From Ještěd – beneath which people ski in winter and which is easily accessible by tram from Liberec – you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. You can savour traditional Czech dishes and soak in the atmosphere of one of Czechia’s most significant architectural masterpieces.

Local specialities – We recommend trying classic Czech dishes such as svíčková (marinated beef in cream sauce), game meat or sweet pastries. Beer lovers should visit one of the region’s craft breweries, such as Svijany Brewery.

Botanical Garden and Liberec Zoo

Our tip: Come for the feeding of the rare white tigers and watch them up close – it’s a truly unique experience.
