Czech Wines for Every Palate in the World
Wine events in Czechia
Czechia is quickly gaining recognition as a destination for wine lovers, offering a vibrant calendar of wine events throughout the year. From traditional harvest festivals in the Moravian vineyards to exclusive tastings in Prague's urban wineries, visitors can experience the country's rich viticulture, diverse wine styles, and centuries-old traditions.

Hundreds of wine events

Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a curious novice, Czechia's wine events provide the perfect opportunity to savor local flavors and immerse yourself in the heart of Central European winemaking culture.

Hundreds of wine events take place throughout the year, and those in South Moravia in particular are intrinsically linked to local folklore - perhaps none occur without the accompaniment of traditional dulcimer music. Many of the events recall the ancient traditions of winemaking, especially at the vineyard protection ceremony called ‘zarážání hory’, the blessing of wine and the popular vintage festivals.

Some have a historical character and a rich cultural programme, such as in Znojmo, Mikulov and Mělník. The vintage is also associated with the drinking of 'burčák', a partially-fermented wine, which is quite rare in the world.

Hand in hand with the growing popularity of wine, the range of wine destinations has grown. Nowadays, tourists can choose to visit a number of wine establishments. A guaranteed level of service, including language facilities, is offered by wineries, wine cellars, wine stores, restaurants and accommodation certified under the Wine Tourism Certification project.

So let´s taste together!
