During a tour you will discover its colourful past, in which the name of W. A. Mozart figures prominently. He conducted the premiere of his opera Don Giovanni here. Certainly you will also hear about the Oscar-winning film Amadeus by director Miloš Forman, who shot a number of scenes here. Its rich programme includes operas, dramas and concerts. Among the most highly acclaimed productions in recent years is The Makropulos Affair by Karel Čapek, staged by the world-renowned American director Robert Wilson with the acclaimed opera singer Soňa Červená in the lead role.
