The Czech-Slovak Ball is becoming one of the most popular events of the ball season in the Czech Republic. It builds on the previous long tradition of Slavic Balls in Prague. It is not just a social event – since it also symbolises the above standard relationship between the Czech and Slovak Republics and their population that until 1992 had shared the same state. The ball will be held under the auspices of the heads of both republics.
The guests at the Czech-Slovak Ball will meet up in the luxurious and elegant premises of the Municipal House, a large part of the supporting programme will be staged in its Smetana Hall. Thanks to the participation of prominent guests as well as renowned artists the Czech-Slovak Ball is one of the highlights of the ball season not only in Prague, but also in the whole of the Czech and Slovak Republics.
