Every year in September the historic center of Tábor goes back in time for three days to the early 15th century, when Hussite leader Jan Žižka of Trocnov took control of the city. And he’s not coming alone – he will be accompanied by a crowd of his Hussite warriors to the sound of drums and torch lights. Awaiting you will be the opening festivities, fireworks, parades in historical costumes, concerts of spiritual, medieval and medieval music, open-air theaters, a medieval market, traditional Czech fair, royal joust on horseback, exhibitions, fireworks, and games and competitions for children. You can try Tábor medieval specialties in several taverns!
