Thanks to the Festival of Baroque Art Český Krumlov, Baroque melodies can be heard in the authentic interiors of buildings that were built in the same era as the music was composed. Be it church music in monastery churches, opera on the stage of a unique Baroque theatre or a Baroque dance in the Masquerade Hall.
Every year, the Festival of Baroque Art Český Krumlov puts on show the works of Baroque artists in Český Krumlov – within the town, as well as on the chateau premises. Equally every year, a new world premiere of a Baroque opera is held in the Baroque Theatre in an original production, be it in terms of scenery or stage setting.
