The aim of the Prague Folklore Days is to present the richness and beauty of folk art to everyone. Almost 50 dance ensembles from many countries in Europe, Africa and Asia take part in the event every year!
On several outdoor stages in the centre of Prague, you can watch the performances of folk ensembles and listen to their traditional music. But dance always takes the leading role. Last but not least, the performances of individual folklore ensembles also include examples of folk art from a given country or region. The culmination of the festival is always a parade of ensembles around the Old Town.
