Founded in 1993, over the years the Febiofest film festival has been visited by thousands of fans and has hosted renowned celebrities. To name just a few – there was Charlie Chaplin’s daughter Geraldine Chaplin presenting her film here, director Roman Polanski, beautiful Italian actress Claudia Cardinale and Alan Rickman who portrayed Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films.
Febiofest takes place every year in the Cinestar Anděl multiplex cinema in Smíchov, Prague. Its programme always focuses on the latest and best from the world of international cinematography. Interesting screenings, high-quality facilities and famous guests draw to Prague not only young Czechs but increasingly larger, more open and more heterogeneous audiences every year.
