This musical genre born in New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th century has been reverberating around the world for more than a hundred years and still finds new artists and audiences. It is also popular in the Czech Republic, where every year sees many jazz festivals and performances. In October, for example, you can go to the international jazz festival Jazz Goes to Town in Hradec Králové. This festival annually presents top musicians from the World, European, and Czech jazz scenes playing a wide range of genres from traditional jazz, blues, fusion, mainstream, funky jazz, be-bop and free jazz.
