Come see with your own eyes the traditional carnival processions in Hlinecko, which for several years now have been registered by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The parade includes all the traditional masks – mottled, the little Missus, Turks, straw, a rat-catcher/healer with a mare, chimney sweeps and Jews. Every costume has its own special mission. For example, it is said that how high jump the four dancing Turks, that’s how high that year’s corn and flax will grow. Meanwhile you can have a look inside the buildings that make up the open-air museum and enjoy a traditional Czech hog roast in the tavern.
