The International Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno features the best of graphic design. It is a meeting place for those with different works, opinions and trends in graphic design from all corners of the world, and it forms directions for further development of the field. The main sponsors are the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the Czech Ministry of Culture. The Biennial was established in 1963 and is one of the longest lasting and most important events of its kind in the world. This is a cycling exhibition that takes place every two years. The Brno Biennial includes a competing exhibition, a professional symposium, a catalogue and several accompanying exhibits, thanks to which the Moravian Gallery in Brno always for a few months becomes the centre of contemporary graphic design.
