If Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had any muses, one of them would undoubtedly have been Prague. He visited it several times and even composed and presented the world premiere of one of his most famous operas - Don Giovanni here. The performance took place in 1787 in the Estates Theatre, which has been in operation up to this day. And it is here where Don Giovanni is returning to be staged in its original length, with a large orchestra and a chorus as written by Mozart. Come to enjoy the excellent period production of the piece in the authentic grounds of the theatre, where an audience heard it for the first time more than 225 years ago when the great Mozart himself was conducting!
2016 will also mark the 20th anniversary of the Opera Mozart stagione!
