700 years of Charles IV - Architecture for the Crown
The medieval architect Peter Parler, who designed the Charles Bridge and other buildings, is in a hurry. Tomorrow he is going deliver the plans for a new cathedral to king Charles IV and before that he has lot of things to arrange - visit the painter, see the glazier and the abbot of a monastery, go to the shop and to the baths...
THE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ORGANIZATIONAL REASONS.

This is an example from the “Architecture for Crown” project, a slightly unconventional exhibition, where children will follow Peter Parler on his errands around Gothic Prague and on this journey they will learn about architecture, construction industry, arts an life during the reign of Charles IV. They will also meet Charles IV’s best friend Arnošt of Pardubice, and Master Havel of Strahov, the king’s personal doctor and astrologist.

The exhibition consists of sceneries, models, artefacts and replicas of mediaeval buildings, panels with information and pictures. Throughout their visit, children will be completing a special tak – assembling a stained glass Gothic window – and they can also visit workshops and try out certain activities and explore them in more detail.
