700 Years of Charles IV – Exhibition in the Wallenstein Palace
The panel exhibition - The Legacy of Charles IV through the Centuries depicts several areas which the far-sighted monarch pursued in the 14th century. In addition, it presents the impacts of his deeds on current Czech and foreign societies.
The exhibition is held on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the birth of the King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor, Charles IV, who Czechs familiarly refer to as “the father of the country”. Charles IV greatly contributed to the boom of the Czech Lands and brought prosperity to Prague, making it a city worthy of Imperial Majesty. Furthermore, he founded the spa town of Karlovy Vary and many other places – to learn more about their tales, click here.
