A celebration where you can use all your senses on apples – smell, taste, sight and touch – and in all forms: dried, liquid, baked, and just picked from the tree, this is the Apple Festival in Hostětín. Meet local and regional growers and producers of the fruit who grow traditional varieties and offer them under the brand Tradition of the White Carpathians. You can try fresh apple cider and homemade apple desserts, as well as take part in voting for the best product and other games and contests. The companion program includes a tour of model projects in the village, such as the cider house, fruit drying kiln, biomass heating plants, rooted sewage treatment plant, or a passive house.
