Opera Barocca is a unique festival of early music, the consistently committed to the authentic style. The project is based on a creative synthesis of the artistic disciplines, artistic, literary, musical and interpretive as it was obvious at the time of the cited works. Original programming, hosting prominent Czech and foreign soloists and musicians and residency Opera Barocca Ensemble guarantee a distinctive festival. Comprehensive research activity in all artistic fields annually allows placing the modern world premiere wonderful but often proved remarkably difficult forgotten works. Festival Opera Barocca also puts emphasis on interaction with exceptional anniversaries and reflects temporal and sanctoral festivities of the year. The festival is also closely linked with the legacy of Czech aristocratic family Gallas and Clam-Gallas and their extraordinary cultural patronage. For this reason, the main festival stage is traditionally situated at the Clam-Gallas Palace, the extraordinary residence and one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in Prague.
