Like Terezín, Fortress Josefov is a place with a unique atmosphere: this Baroque fortress town is surrounded by massive ramparts, a grid of streets and central square. The Josefov festivities include historical units with bands marching through the fortress town before launching into a military reenactment, accompanied by a volley of shots from different weapons. As for all-day fun, there will be clowns, musicians, magicians, and all sorts of attractions for kids. The program ends in style with a night-time artillery volley and acrobatic show with fire and lasers.
