The Zadov-Churáňov ski resort is one of the most famous resorts for cross-country skiing in the Czech Republic. Zadov is known as the second home of former competitor Kateřina Neumannová, and you can even stay in her guesthouse. The surrounding area stretches for nearly 60 km of groomed trails connecting to other groomed trails throughout Šumava. Every year after Christmas the local ski stadium holds a Christmas run – a cross-country skiing competition open to the public.
