The royal city of Uherské Hradiště offers a unique experience in the spirit of the best wine-growing traditions. This prestigious folk festival welcomes more than sixty towns and villages from around Slovácko. You will see dozens of performances by folklore ensembles, cymbal and brass bands, and you can also enjoy a big fair of folk crafts, children’s attractions, and free tours of many sights in the city and surrounding area. The main program begins with Saturday’s folk costume parade from the wine cellars in Mařatice to the main square, and a curiosity is the Butter Churning Championships of Slovácko.
