Jaromír Jágr’s journey to NHL stardom began in Kladno, a town in central Bohemia, where he was born in 1972 and first laced up his skates as a child. In 1990, at just 18 years old, he was drafted into the NHL by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Thanks to his hard work, determination, and remarkable charisma, he became a legend. Alongside other renowned teammates, such as Mario Lemieux, he won the Stanley Cup twice.

Jaromír Jágr shone not only in the NHL. In 1998, he helped the Czech national team achieve a memorable gold medal at the Nagano Olympics, a victory etched forever in the hearts of Czech hockey fans. In the NHL, Jágr collected one success after another. He won the scoring title five times and was awarded the Hart Trophy for the league's most valuable player in 1999. He became an icon of the Pittsburgh Penguins but also played for other NHL and KHL clubs, including Washington, the New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Omsk, and others.

Jaromír Jágr holds numerous records. He is the second-highest scorer in NHL history, surpassed only by Wayne Gretzky. He is the highest-scoring European player in NHL history and the only player to have played more than 1,700 NHL games. In 2017, he became the only player in history to score at least 100 goals for four different NHL teams.
