Length 25 meters, capacity of 180 passengers, 54 seats, equipped with air conditioning, information LED panels, and a special arrangement for transporting luggage. This is the biggest trolleybus in Czechia, newly operated to and from the Václav Havel Airport in Prague. Its number is 59!
On Wednesday, March 6 2024, Prague inaugurates brand new trolleybus line number 59 from "Nádraží Veleslavín" metro station (line A) in Prague to and from Václav Havel Airport. This line has completely replaced bus line 119. Instead of older diesel buses Prague has new battery-powered Škoda-Solaris maxi-buses.
The first operating schedule is to run every 3 to 4 minutes until 7 p.m. when the frequency will change to 5 minutes, around 8 p.m. the runs will be every 8 minutes and 10 minutes after 9 p.m.
