Welcome to Bohemian Switzerland, the cradle of European hiking! This wild and romantic scenery has attracted artists and hikers since time immemorial. In fact, it’s so enchanting that it’s even won the hearts of Hollywood filmmakers. Several scenes from the Chronicles of Narnia were shot at Pravčická Gate.
The magic of this rocky landscape also inspired the world-famous fairy-tale writer Hans Christian Andersen. He was one of the first tourists, in the true sense of the word, to visit this region. And he even wrote a book about this place! And if that weren’t enough, Bohemian Switzerland is also the birthplace of sport climbing in Bohemia!
