Czechia is a top destination for wedding parties from abroad. The splendour of the country’s opulent castles and chateaus, the charm of its Gothic towns, picturesque vineyards and beautiful gardens reflect a rich Bohemian culture that makes for an even more romantic experience. The Czech Republic thus not only offers a generous portion of charm, rich history and romance within easy reach, but also practical advantages such as its location in the heart of Europe and its affordable and quality services.

As we’ve already said, Czechia offers countless beautiful and unique locations that are ideal for wedding ceremonies, whether civil, religious or symbolic. The choice is really wide. Couples from all over the world wanting to tie the knot can find what they want and need for their dream wedding in Czechia. The advantage is that the wedding season runs all year in Czechia, from spring to winter. And just a little note: in some castles and chateaus you can have both a civil and a religious ceremony.

But before we delve deeper into the world of weddings in Czechia, here are just a few quick tips to start. Don't worry! Accredited wedding coordinators will help you with everything:

  • Don’t wait too long to choose the place and date. You need to book as soon as possible!

  • The local registry office needs to know if you’re planning a civil marriage

  • For a church marriage, contact the appropriate church

  • If you’re foreign nationals and one of you doesn’t speak Czech, you need to arrange an official interpreter for the ceremony.

  • If you’re foreign nationals and neither of you speaks Czech, the registry office also requires that an interpreter be present at the pre-wedding meeting at the registry office

So wishing you and long and happy marriage!
