Rankings of congress metropolises for 2022 were announced by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA): The ICCA City Ranking places Vienna in first place globally once more, ahead of Paris and Lisbon.
The most recent ICCA Ranking Report makes reference to meetings and congresses that were held in person in each meeting venue, following a global trend that sees destinations holding in-person meetings once more.
Prague welcomed 616,000 delegates and approximately 4,000 events last year, a significant rise from the pandemic-affected years.
Even though there were only 66% as many events organised in Prague in 2022 as there were in 2019, there were nevertheless significantly more people in attendance. The reduced event count was caused by the pandemic's continuing impacts, as well as related restrictions both at home and abroad and the commencement of the Ukrainian war.
616,597 delegates were successfully hosted in Prague in 2022, which is 86% more attendees than the record-breaking congress year of 2019.
